Come and GET RECRUITED!!! KELSEY did!!

Kelsey LaCroix

I’m looking forward to a busy summer traveling with TCLM working clinics across the country. If you're thinking about cheering in college, I would definitely recommend attending one or more of the recruitment clinics this summer! Last year I went to the recruitment clinic in Louisville, Kentucky where I met the head coaches of many high-ranking cheerleading programs. It was a great experience to be able to work with and meet all of the cheerleaders from so many different colleges all in one weekend. At the clinic there is not only time to stunt and tumble with the cheerleaders, but there is also time to get information on any of the teams and ask members of the squad questions. I got to try a lot of new skills at the clinic, like hand in hands as well as rewinds, and I had the chance to talk with veterans and coaches from each squad about their university. At the clinic I saw the difference between UCA and NCA and decided that I wanted to cheer UCA. The clinic also helped in my decision to try out for a coed team. I like all-girl stunting, but at the clinic I enjoyed working with the guys and learning new coed stunting skills. After talking to the coaches and learning about each of the universities I decided that I wanted to try out for the University of Kentucky. I got a lot of information about the program and it seemed to be a perfect match for me. The recruitment clinic is a great opportunity to talk with many well-known cheerleading programs and to get a feel for college cheerleading. I had a lot of fun last year and I definitely recommend going to one if you haven’t already decided on a college!
