Event Planning and Customer Relations Associate: Rachael Montunnas
September 10, 2013 - Westerville, OH –AmeriCheer’s family of brands, including AmeriDance, Eastern Cheer & Dance, Victory Wear, and STUDIO LIVE!, is proud to announce and welcome Melissa Closser as the Marketing and Public Relations Manager and Rachael Montunnas as the Event Planning and Customer Relations Associate.
Melissa brings over ten years of marketing and brand experience. She comes to AmeriCheer from Urbana University, where she served as their Marketing Director and Web Manager succeeding in launching a re-brand campaign that exponentially grew the University’s prospect awareness. She also served as Urbana University’s cheerleading coach for four years and holds a bachelor’s degree from Tiffin University, as well as a master’s degree from Franklin University. In her new role with AmeriCheer, Melissa will be responsible for the overall marketing strategy of all AmeriCheer’s family of brands, growing market share, and heightening awareness of all programs. President and Founder Liz Rossetti states, “Melissa brings a vast amount of knowledge from her success at Urbana University and is a great fit for the company. Her ability to give new life to a program and generate excitement will make her successful in her new role.”
Rachael brings experience in marketing and event management to her new role at AmeriCheer. She served as the Marketing and Public Relations Manager in her previous role at Wildwood Park for the Arts for almost two years. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Denison University. In her new role, Rachael will be focused on supporting AmeriDance, Eastern Dance, and AmeriDance’s new studio dance competition series, STUDIO LIVE!, from event management to marketing strategy. President and Founder Liz Rossetti states, “Rachael is a great asset to our family of brands with her marketing background and experience in the dance industry. Her positive energy makes her a perfect addition and I look forward to seeing her succeed in her new role.”
AmeriCheer, Inc. was founded in 1987 by a former Ohio State cheerleader, as a one-person instructional cheerleading clinic. At the age of 23, Elizabeth “Liz” Rossetti has grown the brand to a national cheerleading and dance company, educational and instructional camp program, and an inspiration to young athletes throughout the nation.
AmeriCheer administers over 60 exciting cheerleading and dance competitions, 100 educational summer camps throughout the United States, and our pinnacle InterNational event celebrating 20 years of competition at Walt Disney World® attracting countries around the world. Our Brands are members of the IEP (Independent Event Producers) whose mission is to collectively influence the cheerleading and dance industry, to promote independents and work to insure our long-term viability in the industry.
